OUR FARMING ETHOS
Our farming philosophy is rooted in respect—for the land, for the animals in our care, and for the wider environment that supports us all. We believe that responsible farming should nourish more than just the people who enjoy our produce; it should enrich the soil, protect wildlife, and preserve the landscapes that make our corner of the Howardian Hills so special. By farming sustainably and placing animal welfare at the centre of our work, we aim to show how thoughtful choices on the farm can contribute to a healthier, more resilient countryside.
EDUCATIONAL VISITS FOR GROUPS
We are passionate about sharing this approach with others through our educational visits. We welcome local schools, community groups, and organisations who want to learn more about food, farming, and environmental stewardship. These visits offer hands-on experiences that help people—especially young learners—understand where food comes from and why sustainable practices matter. Our partnership with York University’s Sustainability Clinic strengthens this mission, allowing students to engage with real-world challenges and fresh thinking on the farm. Together, we hope to inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and encourage the next generation to care for the land, the environment, and animal welfare as much as we do.
